It’s a great day to be a fan of the 2008 animated sensation Star Wars: The Clone Wars — particularly if you’re fond of some of its most beloved voice actors.
Ahead of the San Diego Comic-Con Saturday panel, “Bringing Star Wars Zero Company to Life,” video game developer Bit Reactor and Lucasfilm Games have come together to reveal the cast for their upcoming single-player, turn-based tactics game, Star Wars Zero Company.
Set during the prequel era during the height of the Clone Wars, Zero Company follows Hawks, a former Galactic Republic officer who leads a misfit band of professionals for hire — including characters like a clone trooper, a Mandalorian and even a Jedi — to stop the Separatist-aligned cult, Infinite Coil, and its leader, Kundri Fathom (Rekha Sharma).
With Zero Company set during the Clone Wars, it’s no surprise to see some veterans from the animated series confirmed to appear. Both Matt Lanter and Dee Bradley Baker have been confirmed to reprise their roles as Anakin Skywalker and clone trooper Trick. Lanter has played Anakin Skywalker since The Clone Wars debuted, and he’s also picked up the role again in other Star Wars projects, including Rebels, Tales of the Jedi, and Forces of Destiny. He has portrayed Anakin in several other video game appearances, including Battlefront II and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
As for Baker, he has served as the voice of most clone troopers, including members of of The Bad Batch, in animated and video game projects across the franchise. For both of them to appear in Zero Company shows that Bit Reactor has its finger on the pulse when it comes to the portrayal of these characters.
